The Male Milk Of Human Kindness....

Earl Brutus - The SAS And The Glam That Goes With It (Empire State Human Mix)

Firstly I'd like to thank XXJFG for giving me the kick up the arse to actually finally get round to doing an Earl Brutus mix.
And secondly, you can go and vote for this track on Culture Deluxe if you fancy, you'll have to register to vote, but it's pretty harmless and doesn't bite.... much!
And thirdly... I hope you like it.

The original version of this can be found on the Glam Trash Rockers second album "Tonight You Are The Special One" from 1998, It's well worth a listen.....

Here's a re-post from Mr.Rowche from last year...

Earl Brutus - Your Majesty... We Are Here

"The Earl Brutus is a fictional pub that's quite a rough sort of place but with a nice carvery on Sunday lunchtimes.

Taking the showmanship baton from Freddie Mercury in the great glam-rock relay race, Earl Brutus had milk-warm Britain in the stocks. With violence, heavy drinking and a neon sign that read "Piss Off" behind them at their gigs Earl Brutus were the meeting of The Glitter Band and The Fall in a 24 hour offy. After a short spell kind of split up, Earl Brutus are back again and here's one of their tracks from their 1998 LP "Tonight You Are The Special One" to remind us why we need them so much."

Nicely put Rowchie baby, and talking of The Mighty Fall (something I tend to do quite a lot....!) you should visit Chiasm where he has just started posting MP3's (starting with The Fall's Devolute... excellent start sir), and promises to be posting quite a lot of Fall tracks and musings.... I'm looking forward to this.
Anyway, where was I... Earl Brutus I believe....
My favorite album of theirs is their debut from 1996, "Your Majesty... We Are Here. Volume One", glamrocktastic....

Earl Brutus - Male Milk

This is from the afore mentioned first album which is chokka full of Glitter Beats, splattered electronica and loud guitars... fantastic stuff.
And to quote mark e (not that one...) "we need old buggers like this lot to teach the young ones how to act in true rock-n-roll fashion".

Nice.
