To become torn.

As part of Tofu Hut's 'getting to know the neighbours' series, SVC big-cheese Si and myself were emailed a few questions to fill out on music, the state of music, Blogs (I wish there was another word for this?!) and more music. One of the questions was to make a ten song mixtape playlist based on the following topic: TEARS ON MY PILLOW. Now of course the first track should have been Little Anthony's 'Tears On My Pillow' or at least Kylie Minogue's far superior version but instead I shoehorned the following:

Houston Wells & The Marksmen - Only The Heartaches
The Fleetwoods - Come Softly To Me
Bjork - I've Seen It All
The House Of Love - Someones Got To Love You
Aaron Neville - Tell It Like It Is
Nick Drake - Know
Iain Gregory - Can't You Hear The Beat Of A Broken Heart
OMD - Pretending To See The Future
Shirley And Lee - I'm Gone
Caustic Window - On The Romance Tip

Now depending on popularity/bandwidth/indifference these may or may not be here all week but for the moment if you fancy downloading and making your very own CD to play to your 'real' neighbours then please help yourself. Here's (400k) a j-card cover and onbody cd print aswell. (Will involve scissors or a craft-knife so please ask a parent or guardian for permission first and don't cut straight onto the dining-room table.)

Of course you should also pop along to Tofu Hut, read our birdbrained palaver, tut and mutter 'wankers' under your breath.

PS. For the purposes of this compilation 'tears' is meant to rhyme with 'bears' as in; To pull apart or into pieces by force. To make (an opening) by ripping: 'tears' a hole in my pillow.
