Guilty Pleasures...

The Crusaders & Randy Crawford - Street Life (full 11 min + version)

By all accounts I should hate this track with every ounce of my soul...
And for many years I did.
But alas the super soft jazzy sounds have weedled their way into every part of my being...
SHIT!

But there's something about this track I can't quite put my finger on...
It's definitely not the extended super smooth jazz sax solo's that go on for a year...
It's definitely not the super smooth production, that anybody who's ever heard and loved any of Steve Albini's work would probably projectile vomit at being forced to listen to just 4 bars of...
It's definitely not the super smooth jazzy guitar that would make anybody who's ever heard and loved J Mascis' work want to run off and cut their hands of at the very thought of it.

Maybe it's the glorious key changes...
I really don't know.

Basically I'm stumped, I guess we all have tracks like this...
Guilty pleasures.

What's yours???
