Sounds Like Silver...

LCD Soundsystem Remixed - North American Scum (Dunproofin's Not From England Either Mix)

LCD Soundsystem Remixed - London, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down (Hearing Double & JCB Soundsystem)

Sounds Like Silver is from the team that have in the past re-mixed albums by The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream amongst others.
This time round it's LCD Soundsystem's 'Sound of Silver' that gets a good seeing too.
Basically the premise is to take an album they love and remix it, unofficially of course, although previous albums have had the seal of approval from the artist they have remixed including Liam Howlett.

For each of the albums released the guys behind it have urged you to to make a donation to a specified charity, and this release is no different. This time it's Oxfam that are going to benefit, so I can only urge you more to download this album and donate as much as you can afford. If everybody who had downloaded the previous albums had donated the cost of a standard CD then over £500,000.00 would have been raised...
So click the link on the page and get donating.
You know it makes sense.

As for the music, well it hopefully goes without saying that it's all been done with a love of the original versions, the above two are possibly my favourites though, with the always superb Dunproofin' you get an analogue washed version of North American Scum but with more bleeps and squelches, in my book always a great thing.
And 'New York I Love You' gets a re-naming and re-working by Hearing Double & JCB Soundsystem, it's less of a remix and more of a complete re-recording, but done oh so well.
Great stuff all round.
Well done to everyone involved.
