Supermassive Exclusive Remix

Muse - Supermassive Black Hole (team9 remix)

Prick up your ears! This is an exclusive for all you Spoilt Victorian Children and represents the first in what I'm hoping will become an (ir)regular feature on the blog. Fresh from the success of his Superchunk mix on XFm's The Remix, and the unprecendented amount of downloads for the remix of Roxy Music's 'In Every Dream Home a Heartache' posted here last month (either our stats are up the swanny, or the Roxy Music fanbase got on the case!), the booty-mash-remix maestro team9 aka Neil Mason has kindly donated a never-heard-before remix of the new Muse single, available only from this blog for a limited period.

'Supermassive Black Hole' is taken from Muse's fourth studio album, 'Black Holes and Revelations' which was released this Monday (3rd July). The original version of the single marked a fairly dramatic departure from Muse's bombastic sci-fi rock sound, sounding more like Belgian outfit Soulwax, with a mix of electronic disco rhythms and guitars. team9 has transformed it into a slinky electro groover with a menacing bass rumble and a dazzling array of bleeps, blaps, clanks and bloots, perfectly suited to Matt Bellamy's Prince-esque vocals. Watch this space for more exclusives fresh from Perth, Australia and make sure to visit the team9 website for more delectable downloads.
